Abschlussfahrt Klasse 10R Holger Zimbelius

The class field trip of the 10R took place in the Saarland from 27th of June until 1st of July. The accommodations at the Youth Hostel were quite fine, and the efforts of the Hostel team were commendable. The program was a mix of culture, nature, sporty fun and just plain being together and talking with one another. On Monday, we started with a “Körperwelten” Exhibition and a quick tour of antique Roman buildings of Trier, then topped off by a pleasant evening together at an atmos pheric Italian restaurant in Trier. The next day was a tree top tour with a spectacularly beautiful view of the Saarschleife. In the afternoon “Tret boote” and swimming - the weather was glorious. The next day was spent at the Völklinger Hütte, a former Eisenhütte converted to a museum and presently a Welt kulturerbe. There we viewed a Song Video Exhibition surrounded by great industrial Anlagen, a rather fascina ting place.The go-cart round in the afternoon, all you can drive, seemed to suit the industrial nature of the morning of that day. The final day was committed to swimming and grilling- and simply being together for the last time. Personal
